PM2.5 promoted N-SREBP1 translocation into the nucleus, inducing lipid droplet formation. A Western blot analysis showed that N-SREBP1, FASN, ACACA and SCAP proteins were upregulated in H1975 and A549 cells after PM2.5 treatment. B Fluorescent staining showed that N-SREBP1 in the nucleus of A549 and H1975 cells was increased significantly after PM2.5 treatment. C Oil red O staining showed that the production of intracellular lipid droplets was reduced after SREBF1 or FASN was knocked down.
