sIL-6R amplifies activation of the IL-6 pathway signaling and amplifies gene regulation in the airway epithelial cells. A Western blot analysis of BEAS-2B cells stimulated for 15 min solely or in combination with 10 ng/mL IL-6, 100 ng/mL sIL-6Rα, or a combination of both IL-6 and sIL-6Rα.
