Biological processes specifically affected by age include immune-related processes in uninfected and P. aeruginosa-infected PCLS. PCLS of young and old mice were infected with 1 × 105 CFU/well PAO1 or D61 or cultured without bacteria (Ctrl). After 8 h, whole genome analysis was performed. Differentially regulated genes (≥ 2-fold change, p < 0.05) were analyzed in DAVID for enrichment analysis of biological process ontology.
