Changes to weight & respiratory function after vaping exposure. A Female mice 8–20 weeks were exposed to filtered air (control; FA), propylene glycol/vegetable glycerin (PGVG; 50/50) or PGVG + 1% phytol (Phytol) for 8 weeks, 2 h per day, 5 days per week. A) Animals were weighed every 3–4 days. N = 20/group. PGVG-exposed animals were significantly different from FA- and Phytol-exposed animals by 2-way ANOVA p < 0.0001. At terminus of the study, pulmonary function was analyzed using the Flexivent system for B resistance, C dynamic compliance, and D quasistatic lung compliance. ** indicates p < 0.01 by Students T-test between the 2 indicated conditions
