From: TGF-β1 promotes SCD1 expression via the PI3K-Akt-mTOR-SREBP1 signaling pathway in lung fibroblasts

Fig. 1

TGF-β1 increases SCD1 expression in fibroblasts. AC HFL1 cells were treated with increasing concentrations of TGF-β1 for 24 h. The protein levels of SCD1, α-SMA, and a loading control (GAPDH) were measured by western blotting. The relative changes in the densities were detected. DH HFL1 cells were treated with 10 ng/ml TGF-β1 for the indicated times. The protein levels of fibronectin, COL1A1, α-SMA, and SCD1 were measured by western blotting. The relative changes in the densities were detected. IM HFL1 cells were treated with 10 ng/ml TGF-β1 for the indicated times. qPCR was performed to measure the mRNA levels of FN1, COL1A1, COL3A1, ACTA2 and SCD1. The data are representative of three independent experiments and are presented as the means ± SEMs. *P < 0.05, **P < 0.01, ***P < 0.001, and ****P < 0.0001, as determined by one-way ANOVA with the Tukey‒Kramer post hoc test
