Relatively increased neutrophil recruitment to the lungs during lung injury coincides with worse weight loss in mice in Facility B. Lungs were harvested from progenies of the conventionalized ex-GF founders in the two facilities after bleomycin (1 U/kg) or PBS (vehicle control) challenge. Data from three independent experiments were combined, and experimental values were normalized by the group variance for each experiment.
