NEU3, but not inactive NEU3, treated mice have increased numbers of inflammatory cells in lung tissue following bleomycin aspiration. Cryosections of male and female mouse lung tissue were stained for CD3, CD11b, CD11c, CD45, Mac2, and Ly6g, and counts were converted to the number of positive cells per mm2.
