ZC3H4 is a crucial protein associated with silicosis that can regulate IL-10 release by controlling autophagy in monocytes. Consequently, the regulation of monocyte differentiation might be a potential therapeutic strategy for inhibiting inflammation and fibrosis and would bring new opportunities for the treatment of silicosis
