The sigmoid function for the probability of being a OSA patient p = 1/[1 + exp. (4.836 + 3.850 t-8.4 h)] is used to separate patients from normal subjects. Here, t is a dimensionless time variable defined as the time to reach the threshold divided by 10 min, and h is a dimensionless height variable defined as the height divided by 180 cm
