Enhanced IL-22 pathway activation after priming with IFNβ. BEAS-2Bs were pretreated with 30 U/ml of IFNβ for 24 h. Cells were then treated with human IL-22 (20 ng/ml) for 15 min. Cell were then collected in RIPA lysis buffer and protein isolated for a western blot analysis of pSTAT3 (Y705) normalized by GAPDH. b Densitometry analysis revealed that IFNβ pretreatment significantly enhances IL-22 signaling compared to IL-22 treatment alone (one-way ANOVA, p ≤ 0.0460).
