1,25(OH)2D3 inhibits TGF-β1-stimulated VEGF secretion by ASM cells. ASM cells were incubated with indicated doses of 1,25(OH)2D3 for 48 h after stimulation with 10 ng/ml of TGF-β1 for 30 min, and then the VEGF concentration in each supernatant was quantified using a human ELISA kit. Experiments were done at least three times. Values represent the means  ±  SEM. * P  <  0.05 vs. control; # P  <  0.05 vs. TGF-β1 alone
