Comparison apoptosis of neutrophils from SS asthma and SR asthma patients. Neutrophils were isolated from the peripheral blood of asthmatic patients and then incubated for 18 h in the absence (Con) or presence of asthmatic serum and/or dexamethasone (DEX) at 10−6 M or 10−4 M. Apoptosis was analyzed by measuring the binding of annexin V-FITC and PI. Data are presented in relation to the control, which was set at 100%.
