Cytokine release was inhibited by dexamethasone in patients with SS asthma and SR asthma. Neutrophils from peripheral blood of asthmatic patients(a, SS asthmatics; b, SR asthmatics) were incubated with dexamethasone (DEX) at 10−6 M or 10−4 M and/or asthmatic serum (SE) for 18 h. The supernatant was collected and analyzed by ELISA.
