TGFβ1-induced inflammation in TGFβ1TG and TGFβ1TG X TGFβR2KO mice. Multicolor flow cytometric analysis showed significantly greater staining of inflammatory macrophages and LY6C high monocytes in TGFβ1TG mice lungs as compared to WT controls. TGFβ1TG X TGFβR2KO developing lungs showed significantly decreased staining of inflammatory macrophages and LY6C high monocytes as compared to TGFβ1TG mice. (B) Ly6Clow monocytes were significantly decreased in the BALF of WT mice, as compared with TGFβ1TG mice. BALF: bronchoalveolar lavage fluid.
