From: Activation of macrophage nuclear factor-κB and induction of inducible nitric oxide synthase by LPS
Expression of iNOS protein in the alveolar macrophages was assessed by western blot analysis with a monoclonal anti-iNOS antibody. LPS at 100 ng/ml stimulated the iNOS protein expression compared with unstimulated alveolar macrophages. The iNOS protein was inhibited by budesonide (10-4 M) and dexamethasone (10-4 M). iNOS = inducible nitric oxide synthase; LPS = lipopolysaccharide
