Dose effect curve of the PDE3 inhibitor motapizone or PDE4 inhibitor rolipram on U46619-elevated pulmonary artery pressure in untreated and desensitized (post iloprost infusion) lungs. Motapizone and rolipram dose-dependently reduced the elevated pulmonary artery pressure. There was no change in the dose response curve when applying identical doses of motapizone 240 min after iloprost infusion. (A) The decrease in pulmonary artery pressure (ΔPAP, as decrease of U46619-induced pulmonary hypertension) in response to motapizone or (B) rolipram (concentrations related to the recirculating perfusate) is given.
