Influence of surfactant protein D (SP-D) on (A) percentage of cells, within an epithelial airway model, which participated in uptake of subpollen particles (SPP) and (B) on number of intracellular subpollen particles (SPP) in single cells. Analysis was performed after 8 hours incubation of the epithelial airway model with 10 million SPP by confocal microscopy.
