Lung mechanics in ventilator injury. Time-course of lung mechanical alterations in mice undergoing ventilation with high (25 mL/Kg) or low (8 mL/Kg) tidal volume for four hours with simvastatin or saline pre-treatment. Static Compliance Cst was evaluated by a single quasi-static pressure-volume curve (A) while Lung Tissue Elastance coefficient H (B), Airway Resistance Rn (C), and Lung Tissue Impedance coefficient G (D) were evaluated via forced oscillation technique.
