Effect of inhaled tolafentrine on the degree of muscularization of peripheral pulmonary arteries. Percentage of non- (N), partially (P) or fully (M) muscularized pulmonary arteries, related to the total number of pulmonary arteries is given. A total of 60 to 80 intra-acinar vessels were analysed in each single lung from saline (Control), monocrotaline (MCT_[28d] and MCT_[42d]), and monocrotaline plus tolafentrine (MCT_[42d]/Tola) treated animals.
