Incubation with l-carnitine and baicalin did not affect hyperoxia-induced proliferation in cultured lung endothelial cells. Cells were exposed to hyperoxia (50% O2/5% CO2, 95% O2/5% CO2) or air (21% O2/5% CO2) for 24 h followed by normoxia for 24 h. Cells were incubated with l-carnitine (LCT, 40 and 80 mg/L) and baicalin (BLN, 22.5 and 45 mg/L) for 12 h during the air recovery phase. EdU incorporation was measured by flow cytometry, and a percentage of EdU positive cells was calculated.
