CXCL16 siRNA reduced production of pro-inflammatory and pro-fibrotic cytokines in A549 cells. After transfection with CXCL16siRNA for 12 h, A549 cells were stimulated with 200 μg/ml BLM for 24 h. The mRNA levels of IL-6 (a), IL-1β (b), IL-8 (c), TNF-α (d) and TGF-β1 (e) was determined by RT-PCR and the expression of IL-6 (f), IL-8 (g) and TGF-β1 (h) in the cell culture supernatant was detected by ELISA.
