JUUL crème brûlée-flavored aerosol increases extracellular ROS production in H292 cells. 1-day ALI JUUL aerosol exposure had no effect on (a) cell viability (n = 3 per group); b extracellular LDH release (n = 3 per group); but c significantly increased extracellular ROS production (n = 3 per group); while having no effect on (d) extracellular NO species production (n = 3 per group); and e TEER measurements in H292 cells compared to air controls (n = 3 per group). The Student’s t-test was used to compare results between JUUL aerosol-exposed cells and air controls. Data represent the mean ± SEM, *p < 0.05. Data represent a representative experiment (from three independent experiments) each performed in triplicate (n = 3 per group).
