Fig. 10

CCL2 treatment does not affect the expression of MUC5AC, SLC26A4, IL-25, or IL-33 in NCI-H292 cells. a The mRNA expression of MUC5AC and SLC26A4 was analyzed by qPCR in NCI-H292 cells treated with or without 100 ng/ml CCL2 for 18 h. The data were normalized to GAPDH levels and are expressed as values relative to those from untreated control cells. Values are presented as the mean ± SEM (n = 3–5). b The protein expression of IL-25 and IL-33 was analyzed by western blotting in NCI-H292 cells treated with or without 100 ng/ml CCL2 for 18 h. Whole cell lysates (20 μg of protein) were analyzed by western blotting using antibodies specific for IL-25 (left top), IL-33 (right top), and α-tubulin (bottom). The expression of IL-25 was not detected. The band intensity of IL-33 was normalized to that of α-tubulin and expressed as a value relative to that from untreated control cells. Values are presented as mean ± SEM (n = 4)
