Moderate hypoxia increases PASMC proliferation and upregulates miR-17-5p. a Cell viability was assayed by MTT assay after PASMCs were incubated under hypoxic conditions for 24 h and 48 h. b Cell proliferation was examined by BrdU assay. Moderate hypoxia (3% O2) stimulated PASMC proliferation. The results are the means ± SD of three independent experiments, and in each experiment, three parallel samples were analysed per group. c miR-17-5p levels were quantified by real-time PCR and normalized to RNU48 expression after hypoxia stimulation for 48 h.
