Effects of degeneration of pulmonary C-fibers (PCFs) on the house dust mite (HDM)-induced airway hyperresponsiveness (AHR). Airway resistance (sRaw) was measured during exposure to aerosolized saline (0 mg/ml) and methacholine solutions in a dose-increasing manner. Numbers of mice were 12, 12, 9, and 9 for CtrlIntact, HDMIntact, CtrlPCFX, and HDMPCFX respectively.
