Caveolin-1-containing lipid rafts aggregation by IL-4 contributed to MUC5AC synthesis. BECs were treated with 20 ng/ml IL-4 for 24 h in the presence or absence of 10 mM M-βCD. Then, cell lysates were prepared for determination of endogenous NF-κB transcriptional activity (a), and intracellular MUC5AC mRNA and protein levels (b and c).
