RAGE proteins and gene expression were decreased in IPF samples. a Immunoblot assay showed two strong RAGE bands in the control group: 56 (FL-RAGE) and 46 (sRAGE) kDa, respectively, whereas IPF samples showed a weak or absent signal for anti-RAGE antibody. b Densitometry analysis showed a higher amount of RAGE in the control group in respect to IPF. The total RAGE expression was represented in percentage in relation to β-actin (β-act) as loading control. c sRAGE/FL-RAGE ratio, for both groups.
