Additive effects of dexamethasone with tofacinib on cytokine release in BAL cells from asthma patients (n = 10) and healthy subjects (n = 8). BAL cells were treated with varying concentrations of dexamethasone with or without 100nM of tofacitinib for 1 h before being stimulated with antibodies against CD3 and CD28 to induce a TCR-specific response. Cytokines were measured by ELISA. Data is presented as mean % inhibition (+/−SEM) of maximum cytokine release. Red line denotes inhibition by 100nM tofacinib alone.
