Measurement of relative anti-IAV activities of SLIGRL-amide, BAM8-22 and SLIGR in mice by counting leukocytes recovered from BAL fluid. Mice were anaesthetised and intranasally inoculated with IAV in the presence or absence of selected doses of peptides. Four days later, BAL leukocyte numbers were determined for each mouse. Shown are mean ± s.e.mean values from 4–10 mice/group. *, indicates P < 0.05 compared to respective IAV + saline control (one-way ANOVA)
