Selection of optimum challenging dose. Male C57bl/6 mice were sensitised with saline or HDM in the presence of Alum and challenged i.n. with saline or HDM (0.125–125 μg/kg HDM). 72 h after challenge the lungs were lavaged and BALF eosinophil (a), neutrophil (b), lymphocyte (c) and total white cell (d) numbers were determined.
