Induction of COX-2 mRNA and protein in adherent vascular lung neutrophils following endotoxin administration. Cells were isolated from control animals or 0.5–48 hours after endotoxin administration. Upper panel: Samples were amplified using specific COX-2 primers and run on denaturing polyacrylamide gels. Middle panel: Radioactivity of each amplified COX-2 cDNA band was normalized relative to its corresponding 18S band.
