Bead binding and internalization are cell density dependent. GM-MØ were plated at 5 × 104 to 1.25 × 105 cells/well and cultured overnight before incubation with fluorescent latex beads. At the end of the experiment, cell density for each well was calculated as the average number of cells per field from three fields. Cells were analyzed for total bead binding (A), cell size (B) and bead internalization (C). Points represent the means of three wells each. Lines represent the best-fit linear regression. Data are pooled from three donors.
