  1. The controls were compared to the pooled patients using the Student t test or Chi-squared test where appropriate. Comparison between the 3 groups of patients was made using the Fisher's exact test. #Significant differences were observed between the patients with neuromuscular disease and the two other groups, no differences were observed between patients with cystic fibrosis and asthma.
