Table 1 Total cell number, number of eosinophils, lymphocytes, macrophages and neutrophils in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid of mice exposed to phosphate buffered saline (PBS) or ovalbumin (OVA) combined with air or cigarette smoke (SM) for three weeks. Three weeks after the last exposure, all mice were rechallenged in vivo to 1% OVA aerosol on 3 consecutive days. (n = 8 per group. Values are reported as mean ± SEM. No significant differences were observed.)
