Influence of PDE inhibition on the area under the curve (AUC) of iloprost-induced decrease in pulmonary artery pressure (PPA). Measurements were performed from onset of iloprost nebulization (Ilo aer) until 68 min post aerosolization. AUC was calculated by standard techniques and is given as %ΔPPA × min. The maneuvers and dosages correspond to those depicted in Fig. 2. *, p < 0.05 as compared to sole iloprost nebulization; †, p < 0.05 as compared to all other groups.
