Table 1 Lung leukocyte populations in SP-D-/- and SP-D+/+ mice at time zero, 24 and 48 hrs post-intranasal pneumococcal challenge. Leukocyte subpopulations (neutrophils, T cells, macrophages and B cells) numerated in the vicinity of inflamed bronchioles were expressed as cells per mm2 lung tissue.
