Representative relaxant profile obtained after application of increasing concentrations of the bitter taste receptor agonist chloroquine in histamine-pre-contracted human bronchi. Importantly, introduction of 3 mM acetylcholine (ACh) into organ bath at the end of the experiment showed that bronchial function was still present after exposure to TAS2R agonists and a wash-out step.
