Histopathological and immunohistochemical findings. Photomicrographs of histological and immunohistochemical studies from representative diffuse alveolar damage (DAD) autopsy specimens are shown. This DAD patient had a final diagnosis of drug-induced lung disease (DILD). Expression of HSP47 was noted predominantly in fibroblasts, epithelial cells, and endothelial cells.
