Effects of lipoteichoic acid (LTA) on the production of surfactant protein (SP)-A. A549 cells were exposed to 30 μg/ml LTA for 1, 6, and 24 h (A). Cellular proteins were prepared for the immunoblotting analyses. Amounts of SP-A were immunodetected (A, top pane). β-Actin was detected as the internal standard (bottom panel).
