Risk of COPD according to ATP binding cassette member 3 (ABCA3) E292V, surfactant protein-B 121ins2, and α 1 -antitrypsin ZZ genotypes in the Copenhagen City Heart Study and Copenhagen General Population Study combined, stratified for smoking status. COPD was FEV1/FVC < 0.7 and FEV1 < 80% of predicted. Values represent odds ratios and 95% confidence intervals. Logistic regression models allowed for age, sex, and packyears. Numbers of individuals with surfactant protein-B 121ins2 heterozygosity and α 1 -antitrypsin ZZ homozygosity differ slightly from the number of individuals with an ABCA3 E292V genotype due to different number of study subjects available for analysis within the study period.
