From: Nrf2 protects human alveolar epithelial cells against injury induced by influenza A virus
Caspase 1 and caspase 3 cleavage induced by PR8 virus in ATI-like and ATII cells. Cells were cultured as described in the Method section and infected at a MOI of 0.05, 0.5 and 1 pfu/cell PR8 virus for 24 h or 48 h. Cleaved caspase 1 and 3 were detected in ATI-like cells (Panel I) and in ATII cells (Panel II) by immunoblotting.
