  1. Genotypes of offspring from HO-1 heterozygous mice mating were determined by genomic PCR. Percentage of HO-1 null animals among the offspring at postnatal day 10 (P10) was significantly lower than the expected Mendelian ratio (p = 0.0001, Chi-square test). P1 animals were genotyped between 12-24 hours after birth.
