Inhibition of Sirt1 activity in quercetin-treated mice attenuates querecetin-induced changes in MMP expression and emphysema progression. Elastase/LPS-exposed mice were treated with vehicle or quercetin along with sirtinol or PBS. A and B. Mice treated with quercetin and sirtinol did not show reduced MMP9 or MMP12 mRNA expression.
